Private Golden Circle Iceland with Iceland Highlights, you will have a chance to see Iceland’s most stunning and popular sights.
So, the private golden circle Iceland is simply a popular route that has three the famous sights on it. The National park Thingvellir, the Geyser, Gullfoss waterfalls. Unlike with other day tours, the private golden circle is ideal for a small group of one to seven people. You will be having the personal service and full attention from our driver/ guide. Since it’s a private tour, so it’s very flexible with the schedule, it means our guide will have more time to show you more hidden sights.
The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, it is not only famous for its beauty, also is widely known for being the first parliament in the world. It was founded by the locals in the 10th century. Since it is the private golden circle tour, it is more flexible to see the sights, but having in mind that there are also so many other beautiful pleases as the tour continues.
Next stop is the Haukadalur geothermal area, where you will find Strokkur (churn) hot spring. It is the most active geyser in Iceland that shoots hot water as high as 20-30 meter (65-98ft) and it happens approx. every 5-10 minutes. Besides it, you will also find a small cute geyser, which we call “Litli Geysir” its water is about 100°C (212°F), so don’t try to touch it, it could burn you.
To cool down, we continue the drive to Gullfoss waterfall, the second largest waterfall in Iceland. In the summer, if you stand close enough to the falls, you can even feel fresh mist touching your face. But, don’t get too close to the cliff, it’s dangerous.
At this point, we are done with three main attractions of the famous Golden Circle Iceland. However, our tour is not finished yet, if we are not running out of time, we would be heading to the south to visit Fridheimar tomato cultivation farm, where you get a chance to taste fresh tomatoes or even try tomato-based dishes in the cozy greenhouse. All their products are locally grown.
Now, we are about to finish this tour, our last stop will be the crater Kerid crater. It’s said this volcano has been here for thousands of years ago. It was created by an explosive eruption, and it made up the formation that we are looking at today. It looks like a mirror facing the sky, because of that the water looks different every day.
The private golden circle Iceland tour is very flexible. Our driver is able to swap the itinerary and make sure that you will see all the sights and take a lunch break at your requested time and place. In general, the tour will take about 8 hours. Note, if you spend more than the discussed hours, we will need to collect an extra fee for it.
