Planning to stay in Reykjavik during the Easter holiday?
I bet you’d like to dine out, but since it’s one of the biggest holidays in Iceland, you might have a hard time finding restaurants that are open. To make it easier for you, we have contacted various restaurants and checked their working hours during the busiest days.
The following list includes restaurants that will be open on The Good Friday 1st & 2nd Easter days, since those are the most observed days during the Easter weeks. However, have in mind that the national holidays in April are the following:
15 April, Friday – Good Friday
17 April, Sunday – Easter Sunday
18 April, Monday – Easter Monday
21 April, Thursday – First Day of Summer
If you have made a decision on which restaurant to go to on Easter days, it is crucial to reserve a table as soon as possible.
Most of the restaurants are very busy during this time. If you book online, it is good to give them a call to confirm that they have received your reservation.
