Important Travel Advisory for Reykjavik and Thingvellir
From October 28 to October 31, Reykjavik will experience extensive street closures due to the Nordic Council Session. Armed police will be providing security, and significant restrictions will also apply at Thingvellir National Park on Monday, October 28.
Reykjavik City Center Closures

Iceland, as the host country, has specific obligations to ensure the safety of visiting heads of state.
Similar security measures were implemented during the European Council Summit held at Harpa last year. However, this event’s street closures are not as extensive as those seen previously.
