Enjoy a 4×4 Super Jeep up to the Glacier with us for an amazing trip, where you will witness the stunning Crystal Ice Cave, also known as Blue Ice Cave.
The tour starts as you meet your experienced and friendly guides in the Jökulsárlón parking area. They’ll be standing beside our Super Jeep with a sign, waiting for you. You’ll drive up on the glacier with your group once you’ve boarded the vehicle. Bring cozy clothes, a warm sweater, and an additional waterproof layer in case it rains. Bear in mind that you are visiting Iceland in the winter!
Buckle up, the drive itself is thrilling and bumpy. While you ride in our modified “Super jeep,” your guide will make sure you always feel comfortable and that you are fully informed about the area. After arriving at the location of the caverns, you’ll have a brief stroll around the surrounding glacial scenery and learn about the famous Vatnajökull glacier, the neighboring surroundings, and the locations used for Game of Thrones and other projects.
Anyone traveling to Iceland during the winter months must witness the breathtaking natural phenomenon known as ice caves. You won’t have to wait long to find yourself inside an old glacier that contains a naturally occurring blue ice cave with a variety of blue tints and patterns.
Each season has a significant impact on the ice caves’ structure and condition. Every day, our guide chooses which cave to visit based on security and the environment. If you’re fortunate, you could get to see other ice formations like ice tunnels and crevasses.

Jökulsárlón Parking Lot. You will see a bus with Troll Expeditions written on it.
No matter where you’re going in Iceland, it’s crucial to dress appropriately for the weather. Layering your clothing makes it simple to remove or add garments as needed, depending on the weather conditions.
If a customer is not dressed appropriately for the conditions, Iceland Highlights maintains the right to decline their participation because doing so puts the client at risk. In such cases, refunds are not permitted.
Ice caves are a dynamic, ever-changing natural phenomenon that can only be visited in the winter when it is below zero degrees. In many glacier regions, fresh, distinct caves arise every year. On this journey, we stop at a naturally formed ice cave. Due to the dynamic nature of these formations, the ice cave we visit may have altered in appearance since the photographs on our website and social media platforms were taken.
