Itinerary

After pickup, we’ll leave the city right away. Driving through Hvalfjörur on the route to the remarkable hot springs of Hvammsvk, Hvalfjörur. Fun fact about Hvalfjörur: The British and American navies both had bases here during World War II. It was also the primary route connecting Reykjavik and Borgarnes until 1998 when a tunnel beneath the water was constructed to greatly reduce the distance between the two cities.

The public was allowed access to Hvammsvik hot springs in 2022, and Timeout Magazine recently rated it the finest activity in the world for 2023. It is only a short drive from Reykjavik.

We’ll gather at the bus and travel to the city after taking some time to unwind in the hot springs and take in the breathtaking sights.
