Into the Glacier tour from Reykjavik

We are glad to announce a new experience departing from the city, let’s join us on the experience of the glacier tour from Reykjavik.

This tour will start with the pick up around the city of Reykjavik, you will be doing a little bit of sightseeing to visit the Hraunfossar waterfall and Deildartunguhver geothermal area. After this sightseeing stop, you will be taken toward the glacier of Langjökull.

We will begin our journey through some of Iceland’s most famous landscapes. We’ll then start our ascent towards Iceland’s beautiful Highlands, passing rugged cliffs, snow-capped mountain peaks, and inactive volcanoes along the way. The Langjökull glacier will soon hone into view – a vast icy natural wonder stretching far into the distance. Our specially designed super-vehicle will allow us to explore this dramatic sea of ice and see the many crevasses, and ice sculptures that it hides. The guide on board will tell you more information about how Langjökull has helped to sculpt the surrounding area and what the future holds for it.

Our final destination will be the Langjökull ice tunnel – a man-made miracle that is carved through the very heart of the glacier. It offers a great opportunity to explore the heart of a glacier in all of its glory, including sapphire ice rivers, diamond-like ice sculptures, and much, much more.  During the tour, you will learn more about all the icy wonders that you are seeing from the guide and he will take you to the best spots to snap some incredible photographs. This might be a great picture for the coming Christmas card.
We’ll hop back in our specially designed super jeep once we have completed the ice tunnel, making the scenic journey back to Thingvellir National Park – where we will go our separate ways, until the next adventure!
