Tour Itinerary
Crossing rivers in Engidalur Valley
The tour starts with a drive to Engidalur Valley. With the 4×4 SuperJeep tires we are not afraid to cross the rivers and drive into the mountains over old gravel roads.
The valley overlooks the town of Isafjordur and waterfalls of various sizes will be visible along the way.
The tour will take 1 ½ to 2 hours depending on weather and snow conditions.
Panoramic Old Heath Roads
We continue by making our way up the old Breidadalsheidi heath road to get to a good vantage point for a spectacular panorama of the mountain range, bay, and the town of Isafjordur.
After enjoying nature and the views, we return to the port of Isafjordur.

The guides can be found by looking for the Super Jeeps with the Iceland Backcountry Travel logo and the names of the passengers in the window.
Why is the tour price different today from the last time I checked?
Kindly note that prices in all currencies, except ISK, may change due to currency exchange rates.
Is there a merchant fee associated with the cancellation policy?
Yes, please note that our cancellation policy includes a 3.5% merchant fee. This fee will be applied in addition to any applicable cancellation charges if a booking is canceled according to our policy. We recommend reviewing our cancellation terms in detail before making a booking.
What happens with my booking if you cancel the tour?
If we cancel the tour due to bad weather, you will receive an email and a rescheduling offer. If rescheduling does not work, we will refund 96,5%. The 3.5% is a merchant’s fee.
96.5% Refund: If the tour gets canceled because the ship cannot dock due to weather.
No Refund: If the ship cannot dock but the tour still takes place.
3.5% is a merchant’s fee.
What is the Cancellation Policy for this tour?
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if the booking is canceled 24 hours or less before the event.
- We reimburse you 96.5% if the booking is canceled with more than 24 hours notice.
- 3.5% is a non-refundable Merchant fee.
