Itinerary

The day begins with our guide picking us up in Akureyri. It takes slightly more than an hour to get to Lake Mývatn, and on the way back, the guide may make a stop at the breathtaking Goðafoss Waterfall. Our snowmobile specialist will welcome you to Lake Mývatn. Helmets, coveralls, boots, and of course, operating instructions for the powerful snowmobiles are provided. Either the lake or the neighboring high hills will be covered by the snowmobile excursion. Following an exhilarating 60 minutes of snowmobile exploration, you will reunite with our guide and head back to Akureyri, with the option to stop at the Forest Lagoon for a soothing dip in the geothermal bath.

Important Note

Please be aware that the operation duration is based on the season and that all drivers must show a current driver’s license. A reservation is required. Remember that having a passenger on the back makes it more difficult to steer the snowmobile, so we advise newbies to go out alone. Before the trip starts, a liability disclaimer must be completed and signed. Our primary goal is keeping you safe, therefore the schedule could change. If the weather or other circumstances are not favorable, we might need to postpone or cancel the excursion.

Yes! You will need to pay an additional 7,000 ISK if you want to ride by yourself. 🙂

Where is the meeting location?

We can pick you up from Akureyri. You can choose a pick-up location during the check-out process.

What is the cancellation policy?

• If canceled by the client with more than 1-day notice – 96.5% of the payment will be refunded.
• 3.5% is a non-refundable merchant fee.
