Private Arctic Coastline & Whale Watching Tour

This is a scenic day trip along the Eyjafjörður coastline to the Siglufjörður Fjord, highlighting the beauty of the seaside and coastal life. A stop is made to walk on the unique black sand beach in Ólafsfjörður Village.

We then head to Siglufjörður Village, famous as the filming location for the Icelandic TV show “Trapped”. At the village, we visit the Herring Era Museum to learn about the town’s history. Our itinerary also includes stops at the bustling harbor of Dalvík Village, a major fishing port, and the historic herring factory in Hjalteyri Village.

The tour includes a Whale-Watching excursion from Hauganes harbor. The boats used are traditional, spacious and comfortable oak fishing boats. The likelihood of spotting whales during the tour is high. During the summer of 2021, the success rate was 99% for all the tours.

You can be picked up from most hotels in Akureyri town, as well as the Airport and Harbour. Remember to choose a pick-up location during the booking process.

If you booked a tour from the port, your tour is customized only for cruise ship passengers so your guide will wait for you.
