At 12:00 PM, you’ll meet our glacier guide in Vík town for the exciting Katla Glacier Ice cave activity. Our guide will drive you in a modified super jeep (30-60 minutes) to the magnificent ice cave located 45 minutes away at Katlajökull. Once you arrive at the glacier area, our guide will provide you with the necessary gear, such as a helmet, headlamp, and crampons, and brief you on safety measures, what to expect, etc.

You’ll then take a short walk to the glacier ice cave (5-10 minutes) and enter it to explore its beauty. You’ll have plenty of time for photos and exploration (45-60 minutes) in the glacier area. Our local guide will provide you with more information on how the ice cave was formed and answer any questions you may have.

After a great ice cave adventure, we’ll take you to Reynisfjara, a world-famous black sand beach with basalt column caves and mystical rock structures in the ocean. You’ll have the opportunity to capture photos of this unique landscape and take a stroll along the beach.
