Small Group Northern Lights tours from Akureyri

We operate this northern lights small group tour from the beginning of October to the end of March.

• Due to weather or road conditions, we might have to alter the itinerary, have a longer journey time, or cancel.
• Changes to itineraries or cancellations are notified only via email, so be careful to use a functional email and follow it on departure day.
• Refreshments are not included in the tour price.
• The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon beyond our control. They are visible in Iceland from late August through April but visibility is subject to light activity and cloud coverage.
• We cannot guarantee sightings even if the tour is operated. We offer free cancellation up until 6 hours before departure in case of a bad forecast
• Retry is not included
• Please note that we might travel in a pack with other minibusses from our company if more than one car is booked. The reason for this is that in winter time we often have bad road conditions and there is safety in numbers.

We recommend to bring:

• Warm clothing
• Walking shoes
• Water bottles and refreshments
• Camera
• Tripod

We have a maximum of 18 people in one minibus.

If there are no lights on the day tour you can rebook another tour with a 50% discount, not valid for private departures. A discount code will be sent upon request via email.

Normally we do not cancel the northern lights tours. The tour is only canceled if the weather conditions do not allow a departure. Instead, we allow customers to cancel the tour with a full refund until 5 hours prior to departure. You can also change the departure date with out costs. We recommend that our customers take a good look at the Northern Lights forecast at www.auroraforecast.is to assess the changes in seeing the Northern Lights.

If we cancel the tour, you will receive an email and offer to reschedule. If rescheduling does not work out, we refund you the full amount.

No cancellation fee will be charged if a client cancels the booking more than 48 hours and you will be entitled to get a 96.5% refund.
A 3.5% is non-refundable and it represents the transaction fee.
A 100% cancellation fee will be charged for the cancellations received within 48 hours before the service date.
If the transfer service is canceled by us due to the weather or any other mishaps, you will get a 100% refund from us.
