Hveragerði Village

Our first stop is at the charming Hveragerði Village, known for its geothermal activity. Here, you’ll have an opportunity to grab a snack or drink for the road and explore this picturesque village—often called the “hot springs capital” due to its numerous hot springs and greenhouses. Enjoy a short break while marveling at the unique geothermal energy that powers this town.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall

After a lovely two-hour drive, we will arrive at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic landmarks. With its impressive 60-meter drop, this majestic waterfall offers visitors a chance to walk behind it along a path that provides a one-of-a-kind view—a great spot for taking photos! Please note that the path behind the waterfall may be closed during winter due to icy conditions, but it is always beautiful from any angle.

Skógafoss Waterfall

Next, we visit Skógafoss, a powerful waterfall known for its mesmerizing mist and rainbows. Standing at 62 meters tall and 25 meters wide, this is one of Iceland’s largest waterfalls. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can climb the staircase beside it for an incredible panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

Sólheimajökull Glacier

We then venture to the Sólheimajökull Glacier, an outlet of the larger Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. This glacial wonder offers the chance to witness the ever-changing landscape of ice, crevasses, and glacier tongues. Your guide will explain the fascinating natural forces shaping these ice formations, as well as discuss climate change impacts on Iceland’s glaciers.

Vík Village

Our journey continues to the quaint coastal village of Vík í Mýrdal, the southernmost settlement in Iceland. Surrounded by volcanic peaks and dramatic cliffs, Vík is the perfect spot for a break. We’ll stop here for lunch and give you time to explore the iconic Reyniskirkja church or browse local artisan shops. The view of the coastline from Vík is simply unforgettable.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

One of the most stunning natural wonders of the South Coast, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach is famous for its basalt sea stacks, roaring Atlantic waves, and unique black sand. Marvel at the enormous Reynisdrangar rock formations and listen to the stories of sea legends and folklore shared by your guide.
