Tour Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from authorized points in Reykjavik’s downtown area. From there, you will be driven to the meeting point at Gljúfrabúi waterfall, where you will meet your experienced guide and begin your journey into Thorsmork Valley.

You’ll travel in a modified off-road super jeep that can handle any terrain, allowing you to explore the unspoiled wilderness of Iceland. During the tour, you will cross unbridged glacier rivers, drive through highland areas, and see some of Iceland’s most stunning sights, including Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Eyjafjallajokull volcano, Gigjokull glacier, Myrdalsjokull glacier, Stakkholtsgja canyon, and the Thorsmork Valley.

One of the highlights of the tour is visiting Nauthúsagil’s secret ravine and waterfall, where you can experience the beauty and tranquility of nature up close. You will have plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Please note that the itinerary may vary depending on the fitness level of the passengers and the conditions of the weather. Our main priority is your safety, and in case of bad weather, the tour may be canceled, and we will either reschedule your tour or give you a full refund.

Pick up Information

Please note that Activity Iceland offers pick-up service from authorized pick-up points in Reykjavik’s downtown area. We can unfortunately not offer pick-up service from Airbnb or private apartments, nor Keflavik Airport for our tours. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list in the booking form then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation. It might take up to 30 min for our guides to reach your pick-up point, so please wait patiently for us to arrive. As much as possible be prepared and ready to go.

Our day tours are very popular and we have many days when all available seats are booked out. Please book your tour early to avoid disappointment. You can book this tour online using the booking form or just call our office. We typically respond to phone calls from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT – if you do not reach us, please send an email and we will reply to your message as soon as possible.

Prices

All prices are per person. We accept payment by major credit and debit cards with no additional fees. Gratuities are not included.

Tour itinerary changes

At all times your safety is our first priority. You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland. For this reason, the tour itinerary may be subject to change the sights without notice or the tour might be canceled due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the timing changes, we will need your valid mobile phone number to contact you and inform you of the time change. Please don’t forget to fill out your phone number on the booking form. If the tour is canceled, you can choose to receive a full refund or reschedule your tour for another day. We make every effort to avoid any such changes wherever possible.

What to bring on this tour

Since the weather is unpredictable, always bring comfortable outdoor clothes, and warm layers, with waterproof and windproof outer layers. Jeans are not suitable clothing; a waterproof jacket and shoes and a warm sweater are highly recommended. It’s best to wear waterproof boots. Bring some snacks or packed lunch. Bring your personal daily medications if required.

What is the cancellation policy for this service?

No cancellation fee will be charged if a client cancels the booking more than 48 hours in advance, and you will be entitled to get a 95% refund back.
A 100% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations received within 48 hours before the service date.
If the day tour service is canceled by us due to weather or any other mishaps, you will get a 95% refund.
A 5% fee is non-refundable and represents the transaction fee.
