Day 1 | Golden Circle Tour

The adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Reykjavik City Center or the nearest Bus Stop if you’re lodging downtown. We set off on a thrilling tour of the Golden Circle, a route that showcases South Iceland’s geological marvels.

• Thingvellir National Park: Walk between two continents at this UNESCO World Heritage site, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The park’s historical significance and geological beauty make it a must-visit destination.
• Gullfoss Waterfall: Witness the majestic beauty of Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls. Feel the mist on your face as you get close to the powerful cascade that plunges into a deep canyon.

Our final day begins with breakfast and continues with a journey to Jokulsarlon, Iceland’s famous glacier lagoon. This day is packed with awe-inspiring sights and activities.

• Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon: Take a boat tour on the serene, iceberg-filled waters of Jokulsarlon. The floating icebergs, some towering and others sculpted into fantastic shapes, provide an unforgettable sight.
• Diamond Beach: Just across from the lagoon, this black sand beach is strewn with sparkling icebergs that have washed ashore, resembling diamonds scattered on the sand.
• Fjadrargljufur Canyon: A stunning, ancient river canyon with dramatic cliffs and winding paths, perfect for a scenic hike.
• Skaftafell Nature Reserve: Part of Vatnajokull National Park, this reserve offers a variety of hiking trails, glaciers, and waterfalls, including the famous Svartifoss, known for its black basalt columns.

• Luggage: Please pack as small a bag as possible or share with your group. Hotels in Reykjavik can hold the remaining luggage.
• Meals: We stop for meals, but you are welcome to bring snacks and beverages for in-between meals. Sometimes dinner can be between 7-8 pm, depending on availability.
• Accommodation Requests: Requests for hotel upgrades or separate rooms might not be able to be honored. If you are a party of 2 or more, you will get a room together.
