Natural ice caves grow during the summer and change yearly in size and shape. The crystal ice cave is embedded in the ice and is frequently bordered with black volcanic ash from ancient eruptions.
We are thrilled to present the “Odin’s Eye Langjökull Ice Cave” this year, a magical and ethereal find that adds a dash of Norse mythology to our expedition.
Fun fact, the ride to the glacier is operated by one of the biggest glacier truck in the world!
Gullfoss Meeting point
The UPPER GULLFOSS parking space is where everyone will meet. The transfer bus is located at the parking spot on the other side of the Gullfoss Cafe. It’s best to be there at least 15 minutes before the departure time at 12:00 pm. – Show on the map
Langjökull Second Biggest Glacier in Iceland and ICE CAVE
Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will take you through the beautiful Langjökull Glacier. Learn about glaciers, hear some interesting facts, and listen to stories about the Icelandic Highlands. Ride in our big Monster Sleipnir Trucks, which are safe and comfortable. The large windows offer great views, and the big tires make the ride surprisingly smooth.
Explore the Glacier by walking through the ice cave. You might see black volcanic ash from old eruptions mixed in with the ice.
Bring your camera – you’ll find plenty of great photo spots in this amazing landscape!

The tour is approximately 4 hours, including the transfer time to the glacier.
